Tell us the date before you order and we’ll tell you if we can make it. Most canvases are on the wall about 2 weeks after you order, and the estimate on each product page is worked out for the day you are reading it. If a date is tight, write to us first.

Yes, on the canvas itself. Revisions are unlimited until you approve your proof. If it arrives damaged, misprinted, in the wrong size or in the wrong frame, send us a photo within 72 hours of delivery and we’ll make you a new one, free of charge.

Send them anyway. If we need a better one we will tell you before anything is made. Most phone photos work. What helps most is good light on their face and a picture taken down at their eye level rather than from above.

Tell us what is off and we will redo it. There is no limit on revisions until you approve your proof.

No. The dogs shown are samples. Your canvas is composed with your own dog, from the photos you share with us.

Each L’Atelier scene is composed for 1 dog, with the room, lighting and placement balanced around them. Le Sur-Mesure is the exception: it is built from your own brief and can hold up to 3 dogs in the same room.

No. It is a painting-style portrait printed on canvas, not a painting made with a brush. Each scene is built with AI tools and reviewed by a person, your dog is placed into it from your photos, and you approve a proof before it is printed on canvas in the USA. If you want brushstrokes made by hand, an independent portrait artist is the right choice. Read more: what you are actually buying.

Every scene in L’Atelier was created by our team at Bonne et Filou. The ideas and the direction are ours alone, and we build each scene using AI, with a person here reviewing and correcting it before anyone sees it. None of it is stock and none of it is licensed from anywhere else.

When your photos arrive, your dog goes into that scene and comes back to you as a watermarked proof. You approve it, or tell us what to change. After 72 hours without a reply, we take it as approved.

Yes. You receive a digital proof to review. Request unlimited revisions before printing. You have 72 hours after receiving your proof to approve it or ask for changes. If we have not heard from you by then, we take that as your approval so your canvas is not left waiting.

A clear JPG, PNG or HEIC taken in natural light, at your dog’s eye level, is ideal. Make sure their face and markings are visible. Please share at least 2 photos, and up to 5.

Each canvas is made for your dog alone, so we cannot refund a change of mind. Until you approve your proof, you can ask for as many changes as you like. If your canvas arrives damaged or misprinted, tell us within 72 hours of delivery and we’ll make you a new one, free of charge.

Yes, as long as we have not started. Write to us with your order number and we will switch it. Once your proof is out, changing the scene means starting over, so the sooner you tell us the better.

Yes. Every size, panoramic included, is made both framed and frameless, in any of the 4 frame finishes.

The artwork continues around the fold, mirrored, so the side of the canvas carries the scene rather than a blank border. Panoramic canvases are 1.25 inches deep and every other format is 0.75 inches.

Noir, a matte black. Craie, a soft chalk white. Blond, a pale natural wood. Cacao, a deep warm brown. Each is a slim floating frame with a shadow gap between the frame and the canvas.

Yes. Each size is its own piece, so add them to your cart separately. The same approved artwork is used for all of them.

Our producer prints and finishes them in the United States. Every canvas is hand stretched over kiln-dried wood bars and hand stapled at the back, by a person, which is what stops it sagging or warping later. It arrives ready to hang.

Your proof comes back in 24 to 48 hours. Once you approve it, printing and finishing take 5 to 8 working days and delivery another 1 to 3 days, so most canvases arrive 8 to 17 days after you order. The estimate on each product page is worked out for the day you are reading it.

Shipping is free to the contiguous United States. We cannot yet ship canvases to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or outside the United States through the website. Contact us before ordering and we will confirm the cost and the timing for your address.

Yes. Each canvas arrives with hanging hardware fitted. Choose a framed finish or a clean, frameless canvas.

Email us a photo within 72 hours of delivery and we’ll make you a new one, free of charge. This covers transit damage, print defects, the wrong size and the wrong frame.

Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from steam. Dust it with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use water or any cleaning product on the canvas surface.

The hardware is already fitted, so it goes straight on the wall. The usual rule is to put the middle of the canvas about 57 inches from the floor, and to leave 6 to 8 inches above a sofa or a sideboard.

We keep them on file so you can order again without sending everything a second time. They are never sold or shared. If you would rather we did not keep them, say so and we will remove them.

Yes. Choose a scene that suits their dog, send us the photos and approve the proof.

1 order ships to 1 address, so canvases for 2 people means 2 orders. The artwork for each dog is made separately either way, so nothing is lost by splitting it.
