Photographing your Australian Shepherd

Merle patterns are unique, so send photos of both sides and the top of the head. Use open shade or an overcast day: bright sun washes out blue merle and turns red merle orange. Photograph the eyes up close in daylight, since blue, amber and split eyes are hard to read in a dim room. 1 photo of the whole dog shows the coat length and the tail.

How much does a custom Australian shepherd portrait cost?

From $99 for a frameless 12 x 9 in canvas and from $139 framed. An 18 x 24 in or 24 x 18 in canvas is $169 frameless or $239 framed. Shipping is free in the US.

Will you match my Aussie's merle pattern and eyes?

Yes. We follow your photos for blue merle, red merle, black tri or red tri, and for blue, amber or split eyes. Ask for changes on the proof until the pattern looks right.

Can I include 2 or 3 Aussies?

Yes, up to 3 dogs in 1 portrait, mini Aussies included. Send photos of each dog, and the proof shows them together.

Can you make an Australian shepherd memorial portrait?

Yes. Older photos work too, and we match the coat pattern and eye color from them. You see a proof first and can ask for as many changes as you need.

Is the dog in the examples my dog?

No. The dogs shown are examples. Your canvas is made with your own dog, from the photos you send.

How long does it take?

Your proof comes back within 24 to 48 hours. Once you approve it, printing and finishing take 2 to 3 days (3 to 5 from mid-November through December), and delivery another 1 to 3 days (2 to 4 in that season), so most canvases arrive 3 to 7 days after you order.
