Photographing your Labradoodle

Labradoodle coats come in 3 textures, hair, wavy fleece and tight wool, and fleece and wool lose their texture in direct sun, so take photos in soft daylight or open shade. A hair-coat F1 can look close to a Lab, while Australian labradoodles usually have a softer fleece coat, and the proof follows the coat in your photos, so send a recent one taken after the last groom. Chocolate, caramel and black coats need bright light on the face, chalk and cream ones burn out in full sun, and a parti coat needs 1 photo from the side to show the patches.

How much does a custom labradoodle portrait cost?

From $99 for a frameless 9 x 12 in canvas and from $139 framed. Les Cabines and Le Pont Doré, the panoramic scenes, start at $149. Shipping is free in the US.

Do you do Australian labradoodles and mini labradoodles?

Yes. Australian, American, mini, medium and standard all work. We follow your photos for size and coat type, hair, fleece or wool.

Can you match a chocolate, caramel or parti labradoodle?

Yes. Chocolate, caramel, apricot, chalk, black, red and parti coats all work. We copy the markings from your photos, and the proof can be adjusted as often as you need.

Can I include 2 or 3 labradoodles?

Yes, up to 3 dogs in 1 portrait. A labradoodle and a goldendoodle side by side on the lounger in La Cabane work well. Send photos of each dog.

Can you make a labradoodle memorial portrait from old photos?

Yes. Older photos work fine, and the proof comes first, with changes to the coat, color or expression until it looks like your labradoodle.

Is the dog in the examples my dog?

No. The dogs shown are examples. Your canvas is made with your own dog, from the photos you send.

How long does it take?

Your proof comes back within 24 to 48 hours. Once you approve it, printing and finishing take 2 to 3 days (3 to 5 from mid-November through December), and delivery another 1 to 3 days (2 to 4 in that season), so most canvases arrive 3 to 7 days after you order.
