Photographing your Bernedoodle

A tricolor bernedoodle is black, white and rust, and the rust eyebrows and white blaze disappear in shadow, so face your dog toward soft daylight. Curly coats hide the eyes: brush the face or take photos after a groom, at eye level. A wavy F1 coat shows more of the Bernese pattern and a curly F1B looks fluffier, and the proof follows the coat in your photos. Sable bernedoodles often lighten as they grow, so send a recent picture, and for a merle or phantom coat add 1 photo from the side so we see the full pattern.

How much does a custom bernedoodle portrait cost?

From $99 for a frameless 9 x 12 in canvas and from $139 framed. The panoramic scenes, L'Orangerie, Le Transat and Les Jardins, start at $149 and go up to 48 x 24 in at $369 framed, room for a standard bernedoodle stretched out. Shipping is free in the US.

Do you do mini, micro and standard bernedoodles?

Yes, all sizes, F1, F1B or multigen. We follow your photos for size and coat, wavy or curly, and you can adjust anything on the proof.

Will the tricolor markings show?

Yes. We match the black, white and rust pattern from your photos, and sable, merle, phantom or solid coats too. Daylight photos keep the rust eyebrows visible.

Can I include 2 or 3 bernedoodles?

Yes, up to 3 dogs in 1 portrait. A bernedoodle and a Bernese, or a standard next to a mini, fit on the glasshouse daybed. Send photos of each dog.

Can you make a bernedoodle memorial portrait from old photos?

Yes. Send the pictures you have, puppy photos included, and the proof comes before printing so you can ask for changes until the face is right.

Is the dog in the examples my dog?

No. The dogs shown are examples. Your canvas is made with your own dog, from the photos you send.

How long does it take?

Your proof comes back within 24 to 48 hours. Once you approve it, printing and finishing take 2 to 3 days (3 to 5 from mid-November through December), and delivery another 1 to 3 days (2 to 4 in that season), so most canvases arrive 3 to 7 days after you order.
