Photographing your Pit Bull

Short coats show every muscle, so side light from a window works well. Photograph at eye level, close enough to see the eyes clearly. For blue, fawn or brindle coats, send photos of both sides so the markings are right, and avoid flash, which turns a short coat shiny and flat.

How much does a custom pitbull portrait cost?

From $99 for a frameless 9 x 12 in canvas and from $139 framed. A 24 x 32 in canvas, big enough to hang above a sofa, is $209 frameless or $279 framed. Shipping is free in the US.

Can you get blue, fawn or brindle coats right?

Yes. Send photos of both sides, and ask for changes on the proof if any marking is off.

Do you make Staffy and American bully portraits too?

Yes. Any pit bull type dog works, including Staffordshire bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers and American bullies. We work from your photos.

Can I include 2 or 3 dogs?

Yes, up to 3 dogs in 1 portrait. Send photos of each dog, and the proof shows the whole crew together.

Can you make a pit bull memorial portrait?

Yes. We work with whatever photos you have, and you can ask for as many changes on the proof as you need until it looks like your dog.

Is the dog in the examples my dog?

No. The dogs shown are examples. Your canvas is made with your own dog, from the photos you send.

How long does it take?

Your proof comes back within 24 to 48 hours. Once you approve it, printing and finishing take 2 to 3 days (3 to 5 from mid-November through December), and delivery another 1 to 3 days (2 to 4 in that season), so most canvases arrive 3 to 7 days after you order.
