Photographing your Pomeranian

A Pom's coat makes it look bigger than it is, so brush it out before the photo and shoot at floor level. Orange and cream coats burn out in sun, so use soft daylight. Dark eyes disappear in a fluffy face, so photograph facing a window to put light in them. Send 1 photo of the whole dog to show the shape of the coat and the tail over the back.

How much does a custom Pomeranian portrait cost?

From $99 for a frameless canvas and from $139 framed. A small dog can still take a big canvas: the largest size, 30 x 40 in, is $249 frameless or $329 framed. Shipping is free in the US.

Do you do orange, cream, black and parti Poms?

Yes. We follow the coat in your photos, whether orange, cream, white, black, sable or parti color, and you can ask for changes on the proof.

Is a Pomeranian portrait from L'Atelier a painting?

No. It is a painting-style portrait printed on canvas, made from your photos and printed on matte canvas in the USA.

Can I include 2 or 3 Pomeranians?

Yes, up to 3 dogs in 1 portrait. The tea table and the hotel bed have room for 3 Poms side by side. Send photos of each dog.

Can you make a Pomeranian memorial portrait from old photos?

Yes. Send the photos you have, older ones included, and ask for changes on the proof until it looks like your Pom.

Is the dog in the examples my dog?

No. The dogs shown are examples. Your canvas is made with your own dog, from the photos you send.

How long does it take?

Your proof comes back within 24 to 48 hours. Once you approve it, printing and finishing take 2 to 3 days (3 to 5 from mid-November through December), and delivery another 1 to 3 days (2 to 4 in that season), so most canvases arrive 3 to 7 days after you order.
